Silikoneurope participated to the solidarity initiative “Progetti del Cuore”. Different companies of the territory have contributed to the donation of a car, completely equipped for the transport of disabled. This car will be used by Fondazione Itaca, an association of Emilia Romagna, that provides social assistance in the Region.
The new covered area, near the production plant, is dedicated to the manufacturing and maintenance of the moulds. This is a strategic activity for the complete management of moulds design and production process, which has to guarantee the good functionality of the components.
Silikoneurope, after a 20-years experience in injection moulding in liquid silicone rubber (LSR), has expanded its offer by starting to produce technical articles also in high temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber (HTV). This new technology will give to Silikoneurope the possibiliy to get the opportunities of a wider range of applications.
Silikoneurope has built a new clean room which has an important increase of productive capacity with respect to the old one, and it has been designed to follow innovative projects in medical, pharmaceutical and veterinary fields. The new clean room follows the hygienic regulations and protocols defined for these sectors (class ISO 8).
Silikoneurope is going to extend its productive plant in Loiano (BO). Thanks to this renewed and bigger space Silikoneurope could improve the internal activities of production and maintenance of moulds. The aim is also give to customers quicker answers during all the phases of the projects: from the prototyping to the standard production lines. Even the production capacity will grow thanks to the installation of new silicone injection moulds.
